This Week at JGS...The Jackson Grammar School celebrated their annual Project Block this week. The students were thrilled to have community members including engineers, graphic artists, musicians, and environmental educators come and share their expertise. Each student (grades K-6) chose from six different, multidisciplinary, cross-grade offerings including bridge design, Asian art, piano and music reading, making movies on the computer, creating and writing about fairy houses, exploring aquatic animals and their adaptations as well as re-assembling a moose skeleton. Each mixed age group spent two full afternoons immersed in one of these projects. Parents, teachers, and community experts all contributed to a wonderful learning experience—thank you for your help!.
The last days of the school year are upon us—and next week is SPIRIT WEEK! Also, Field Day is Thursday, and will be preceded by a special All School Meeting to showcase Project Block. And PLEASE NOTE that Wednesday is Pizza Day instead of Thursday
